Grayson is broken

Here it is folks...an x-ray that even an untrained eye can read. This is Grayson's collar bone after an accident on the playground at school. He actually held up pretty well considering the injury. Grayson returning home from Urgent Care wtih his bravery stickers and a new shoulder brace. (I think his arms look like scarecrows arms the way he is holding them up)
It was a rough couple of nights and some slow moving days but here is the trooper is ready to return to school. We put his brace on the outside of his short to help remind his friends and himself that he has an injury. It isn't a problem getting him to wear the brace because he absolutely loves it.

Not even a broken collar bone will keep this kid from supporting his Vikings!

A Birthday fit for a Princess!

Our Small Wonder is 1! We had a wonderful birthday party full of nice weather, family and friends. Actually...it was all family...all 28 of us. We are blessed to have so much family so close. Auntie Dingo drove in from the Quad Cities with her two girls, Uncle Matt and his family was here, second cousins, aunts and uncles...whew...so much fun.

Reagan woke from her afternoon nap with a fever....what a bummer on your birthday. Hooray for medicine!
Yeah a bounce house. This was so much fun...we think Grayson jumped for 3 hours.

Check out this cake ensemble...It was not planned in advance that this would look like this...It was a coordinated effort brought to you by my Mom and Sister. Aren't the crowns awesome? Lovingly made by my Mom...and decorated by my sister.

I have a very talented family...the Happy Birthday sign was made by my sister. Isn't it fantastic.

Check out Reagan's new hair style...it is her new grown up style...now that she is 1.

Yummy...Cake!!!

Straw use and sibling affection...

Reagan finally uses a straw. YEAH! No more carting around a sippy cup.
Grayson got cozy with Reagan after dinner at Noodles this week. He tells us that he wants to marry Reagan someday. When I tell him that isn't going to work he assures me it is ok because he will wait until she is older.

It's time to try a spoon

Eating applesauce with your fingers is just disgusting. We like to get our kids started as early as possible with a spoon. Let's see if she can do it...looking good so far...
Sweet success....the spoon has hit the mouth and there was even food on it.
She is so proud she has raised her eyes to the heavens!

Reagan...1 year at a glance

I put this together for Reagan's school. It will hang outside her room as she begins her transition to "older infants". Where does the time go?

The Great Minnesota Get Together!!!

Little Farm Hands was one of our first adventures after arriving at the State Fair. We learned all about being on a farm. The tractor drive was still Grayson't favorite part. We almost couldn't get away from the "big machines" He loved all of them.

This little ride has been a favorite for the last couple years. It was his first independent ride a couple of years ago.

The sweet baby girl was there for everything. She just strolled along with us...kicking her feet and flashing those blue eyes and everyone who looked at her.

I remember this ride from when I was a kid. I loved it! Oldie but goodie.

Reagan meets Sweet Martha. It is no surprise that Miss Reagan Anne loves Sweet Martha cookies. What can beat a fresh from the oven warm cookie.

"oink, oink"

A really nice family asked us if we would like them to take our picture. They said they never get a picture of their family and offered it to us. We in turn took their family picture. They were so thoughtful and sweet and were really kind as Graysond described that we were on our way to the big slide where last year his sunglasses got broken because they were in the pocket of his brown coat. How do kids remember so much?

Does Reagan look tired. I don't think so either. This was taken after 9:00pm and she had been up since about 3:30. We thought if we gave her the pacifier she would catch some ZZZ's. Too much to look at I guess. She didn't sleep until 10:20 just before we were on our way out.

Grayson saw these cars from a far and just had to ride them. It was pretty appropriate they ride in the Home Depot car considering that is where Grayson tells everyone that he works.

This was Grayson's last ride of the night. (Reagan had just fallen asleep) It was a pretty wild ride as the car spun around the corners. As you can tell...he LOVED it!

KFC Night at the Robbins house!

We brought out the highchair for Reagan and Grayson wanted to give it a try. It was all we could do to convince him that he was too big and he wasn't going to be eating his dinner in the high chair.

Reagan first tried the mashed potato she wasn't too sure....but
It turns out she likes KFC Mashed Potato as much as her Mommy...

She licked the bowl! Yummy!!!
